The arrest of the owner of a smoke sale store in Al-Waer district in Homs dealing in non-pounds

The station police station in Homs, who owns a shop selling smoke, has been arrested in the city's Al-Waer district, who deals in non-Syrian pounds.

The Ministry of Interior clarified in a statement today that, after the investigation of the aforementioned shop in coordination with the judicial officer at the Central Bank of Syria in Homs, the owner’s dealings, other than the Syrian pound, of the proven crime were seized, and he found in his possession an amount of three hundred dollars and nine hundred thousand Syrian pounds.

In investigation of the arrested shop owner, he admitted that he had dealt with, other than the Syrian pound, buying and selling operations and pricing smoke according to the dollar price on the black market.

The Ministry indicated that the confiscated amounts were handed over to the Central Bank of Syria in Homs, and investigations are still ongoing with the arrested person to take the necessary legal measures against him.
