"
President Emmanuel Macron announced at the end of January, at the annual dinner of the Armenian organizations, that he would soon take an initiative " on the fight against communitarianism, separatism in the state and the foreign interference that nourishes it ". When questioned, Sibeth Ndiaye refused to specify whether the plan would be carried by the head of state " or someone else ".

She underlined the distinction between this initiative and the speeches on secularism regularly demanded from Emmanuel Macron. The latter, argued Sibeth Ndiaye, has already made " several speeches on secularism ", clearly defining according to her the presidential position: " Secularism according to the president, it is the principle that allows everyone to believe or not believe, within the limits of the laws of the Republic.
