Parasite: When the class struggle enters home 4:25
(CNN) - The contagious buzz around the South Korean film "Parasite" has proved to be too powerful for its competitors for the Oscar.
"Parasite" is the first film not in English to win the Oscar for Best Film at the Academy Awards.
Only 11 international films have been nominated in that category.
Earlier this month, "Parasite" made history by winning the best cast award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, becoming the first foreign-language film to obtain that distinction.
