Local councilor Oliver Schulze Nahrup has achieved what has long been his goal: to found his own FDP local association for Neuried.
Neuried - With a minimum of five members, the new local association was officially launched on Sunday. In the presence of the district chairman Michael Ritz from Grünwald, who acted as election officer, the 20-year-old Luis Sanktjohanser was elected as chairman. Oliver Schulze Nahrup is his deputy. Roland Friedrich was appointed as an assessor, Thomas Lösler and Mario Opacak were appointed as auditors.
In late summer last year it had looked bad for a local group of the Liberals in Neuried. Back then Schulze Nahrup found only one other party supporter. With the help of the FDP district association, however, three more FDP members have been found - enough to found their own local association.
Since in the past in Neuried there were not enough party members for the liberals, there was only the FDP local association Planegg-Neuried. Schulze Nahrup has now managed to set up an FDP local association in Neuried. He was last on the list of Bündnis Zukunft Neuried in the local council, but had left the group at mid-term after disagreement (we reported). Schulze Nahrup always kept his FDP party book. He himself is no longer running for the local council in the upcoming municipal election in Neuried, but only for the office of mayor. He does not need his own local association for this. However, his efforts to find supporters from the ranks of the FDP show that liberal politics in the New Town Council continue to be important to him.
