(CNN) - CNN and Univision will organize the eleventh Democratic presidential debate in Arizona in March, a few days before voters go to the polls in the southwest state.
The National Democratic Committee (CND), in association with CHC Bold - the political action committee associated with the Hispanic Partisan Assemblies of Congress - announced that the debate will take place on March 15 in Phoenix. It will air from 8 pm ET to 10 pm ET. Additional information, including moderators, location and criteria, will be released at a later date, organizers said.
The debate will take place two days before the Arizona Democratic primary, as well as the delegate contests in Florida, Illinois and Ohio.

"Arizona is a battlefield state and it is clear that Democrats can win here at all levels of voting," said CND President Tom Pérez. “After historic Democratic victories in 2018, we are putting Republicans on defense in the Grand Canyon state. This debate will show our Democratic presidential candidates, highlight Trump's history of broken promises and make it clear that Democrats are struggling to give Arizonans a better future. ”
The debate will be broadcast exclusively live on CNN, CNN in Spanish, CNN International and Univision. The announcement comes when the Democratic race heats up. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders won the New Hampshire primary on February 11, but former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg even approached him in the state's delegate count, CNN estimates, which It gives Buttigieg a slight advantage in the general delegate count so far.
Over the next two weeks, the race will move to Nevada, where the committees will be held on February 22, and then to South Carolina, which will hold its primary on February 29.
