Wednesday evening in Toulouse, when a conference by Robert Ménard was to take place, in the company of the essayist François Bousquet, activists from the far left sought to disrupt the event in the most violent manner possible. The attack did not receive much media attention, which is surprising at a time when there is serious concern about the violence against elected officials and other members of the political class. Apparently the news was not serious enough to mobilize the guards of the Republic. Depending on the label that will be affixed to you, you will be complained, cursed or not even mentioned.

Even more, when the news was reported, it was very strange. Thus, we have spoken in some media of violent incidents involving "anti-fascists" and "the extreme right", as if we had to present in the manner of two equally organized armed bands those attacking a conference and the service of order that ensures the safety of the event.
