First publication: The Israeli-American Mapping Committee, which will determine the areas of sovereignty to which Israel will apply, begins its work.

A senior government official has confirmed to "Israel Today" that US President Donald Trump has appointed US delegates to the committee: US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, senior adviser to Ambassador Arie Lightstone, and Scott Leith, head of Israeli-Palestinian affairs at the US National Security Council "B.

The American move comes after Israel announced the identity of its members on Friday: Tourism Minister Yariv Levin, US Ambassador to the United States, Ron Dramer, and Executive Director of the Office of the Prime Minister, Ronen Peretz.

Further to what President Trump said while presenting the peace plan, the Israeli-American team was tasked with drawing the exact map of the spaces that will be annexed to Israel in the Jordan Valley, Judea and Samaria.

Immediately following the release of the Trump program map, Israeli and American officials said it was not intended to accurately reflect future border areas. It should be noted that in the program book, the map is also defined as "conceptual".
