The proposals discussed strengthening the role of the Foreign Trade Corporation in securing basic materials and the necessity of cultivating areas liberated from terrorism, fixing temporary workers, expanding by granting loans to the working class, addressing the reality of prices in markets, increasing school allocations of diesel in cold areas, and reducing prices of energy carriers for agricultural products.
In response to the proposals, Eng. Khamis stressed the importance of the participation of trade union committees in taking the necessary decisions to mitigate the repercussions of the economic war that Syria is facing and improving the living reality of the working class, calling on representatives of trade unions to hold workshops and continuous meetings with representatives of unions and the government team to develop a joint plan to develop the sector The private sector and activating its role in the process of development and developing legislations regulating the work of government institutions and the laws of the public job, indicating that the government is open to any initiative that will improve the reality of government action and highlight the deficiencies and address them Corruption.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the number of people targeted to distribute basic materials has reached 700,000 families to date through the electronic services card, and the involvement of the private sector in this mechanism is being studied, indicating that 150 mobile cars will be transported to areas where there are no outlets for the Syrian Foundation for Trade in the governorates.
Regarding monetary policy, Engineer Khamis said that we are confident of the ability of our monetary institutions to overcome the existing difficulties and challenges imposed on them according to a deliberate plan, confirming the government's continuation of the plan for reforming the public sector institutions as a safety valve for our country's economy in the face of the economic blockade and terrorism, explaining that the union organization is participating in the boards of directors and is A true partner in implementing the economic public sector reform plan.
For his part, President of the General Federation of Trade Unions Jamal Al-Qadri stressed the importance of taking into consideration the full demands of the workers and working to achieve them, pointing out that the work will focus during the coming period on the reform of public sector companies and institutions and to go on combating corruption and corrupt and reconsider the law of partnership with the private sector.
