The body of a dentist was found Monday, salami and wrapped in a tarpaulin, in a room of his house in Coulombs (Eure-et-Loir), announced Tuesday the prosecutor of the Republic of Chartres, Rémi Coutin.

"The victim, a dentist practicing in Dourdan (Essonne), did not go to his office during the day, which worried his employees," said Mr. Coutin, confirming information from L'Écho Républicain . "When the gendarmes went to the home of the victim, who seems to be living alone, they found that a door at the back of his house had remained open. They then progressed inside to the room where the wrapped body was, "said the magistrate.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the 53-year-old man, born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and whose nationality is still unknown by the justice system, died of asphyxiation. His body was tied up inside a tarp, including tight ties at the neck, according to the prosecutor.

A forensic doctor from Alençon went on site Monday while an autopsy of the body of the victim should be performed soon in Garches (Hauts-de-Seine). A blatant investigation for intentional homicide was opened by the Chartres prosecution, which mobilized around fifteen investigators from the Dreux research brigade and the Orléans research section. "At this stage of the investigation, no lead is favored," said Mr. Coutin.
