The Vivaldi Orchestra Karlsfeld recently rented the Karlsfeld community center to work on their program for the big anniversary concert. Under the title "4 Seasons - 5 Decades", the renowned plucking orchestra invites you to the Bürgerhaus Karlsfeld on May 16 to celebrate its 50th anniversary with the audience. The rehearsals had another peculiarity: the composer Francesco Civitareale came to Karlsfeld to study one of his pieces with the orchestra.
The Vivaldis had got to know Civitareale on a trip to France (we reported). The composer from Luxembourg then gave them his new piece. "Danza dello struzzo" is an amusing, entertaining piece about a stubborn ostrich in the middle of a circus world.
Hard-working, concentrated but also with a lot of fun, the almost 30 musicians from Karlsfeld spent two effective and fun rehearsal days with their guest. Of course, people also ate and celebrated together. Francesco Civitareale was enthusiastic: "You are a great orchestra, it is a pleasure to rehearse with you."
The Vivaldis gladly returned the praise. “The rehearsal work was effective and entertaining. We made really good progress, ”says the musical director Monika Fuchs-Warmhold, who has been swinging the baton at Vivaldis for 50 years.
So the anniversary concert can come. It takes place on May 16 in the community center. The start is at 7 p.m., entry into the foyer at 6 p.m., so that there is enough time for a welcome drink. There is also the opportunity to find out about VOK's past five decades in an exhibition. Photos, newspaper articles and many more exhibits can be seen.
Tickets will be available from March 30th for 18 euros in the travel agency Bunk, Allacher Straße 6, and in Blätterwerk, Rathausstraße 75. It is possible to reserve good seats in advance. Discounted tickets (12 euros) are available upon presentation of an appropriate ID for schoolchildren, students, trainees and the disabled. Children up to and including 15 years are free. kn
