The Indersdorf Theater puts "Christmas Eve" into spring: Game director Werner Popfinger stages the play of the same name by successful author Daniel Kehlmann, the premiere will be at the end of March.
Indersdorf - "The audience can look forward to an intense theater evening," promises Popfinger. An exciting "work for two actors and a watch" comes on stage: Within an hour and a half - just as long as the stage thriller lasts - a detective is supposed to get a suspected terrorist to speak. She is said to have planned an assassination attempt; a bomb could detonate at midnight. This is the suspicion of a university professor who has followed terror in student days and is still practicing system criticism.
Among other things, the multi-layered piece raises the question of what the state can do with its citizens in such a situation. Werner Popfinger: “It is about politics, the state and violence, and if you like, you can be stimulated to think and take some philosophical brain food home with you. But everyone else who simply wants to be entertained is also well advised with the piece. "
Since the main stage of the theater in the baroque hall of the monastery cannot yet be used, the theater fans again set up a stage in the auditorium of the junior high school. “We know that this venue was not ideal for many spectators when we last performed. The view was partially restricted. Based on this experience, we will adjust the seating accordingly this time, ”announced Popfinger.
"Christmas Eve" celebrates its premiere on Friday, March 27th. Further performances take place on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th and the following weekend, April 3rd, 4th and 5th.
