Nicaraguan poet and priest Ernesto Cardenal died this Sunday in Managua due to health complications, relatives reported. He was 95 years old.

Bosco Centeno, a close friend of Cardinal and a member of the Solentiname Island community in the south of the country, told The Associated Press that the priest had been hospitalized a couple of days ago in a capital hospital for a heart problem.
