Several cinema-goers triggered a police operation in Munich at the weekend. They had overheard the conversation between two guests - and raised the alarm.

Munich - The police headquarters in Munich reports: On Saturday at around 11 p.m., several people were in a playhouse to attend a film screening. They became aware of a discussion about firearms between two unknown viewers. In the course of this discussion, a 20-year-old showed a video to his 21-year-old discussion partner (both residing in Munich), on which the 20-year-old was handling a firearm.

Assuming that these people may be carrying weapons , the observers quietly left the cinema hall and informed the security service and the police . As part of the resulting police operation, several police officers entered the cinema hall, detained the two people and searched for any weapons. No weapons were found, however. The on-site investigations revealed that the video shown depicted the 20-year-old's shooting activity at a shooting range. Both people were therefore released after the police measures were completed.
