What caused a Cleveland resident to bring his mother dressed in the best of her shirts to his sister's wedding?
Mendel Weinstock arrived at his big sister's jam on Sunday, accompanied by Markus, to her mother who rented a local tribute. The llama, in a manner befitting the occasion, was dressed in a festive tuxedo and on her head a black cap.
It all began five years ago, when Riva was still single, but did not stop talking about her desire to get married. "My sister talked about her wedding like it was going to happen tomorrow, even though she didn't even date anyone," Mandel told Business Insider. "Just to upset her and get her to respond, I told her that if she made me come to her wedding, I would bring her mother." He did not explain why he chose this animal to annoy his sister.
"She tried to put me back in reverse, promising, 'OK, the llama is invited to the wedding, too,'" he added.
The years passed and Riva did find her heart and began to plan her wedding, and her brother did not forget the engagement. "He never stopped torturing me, with humor of course, and for the past five years has reminded me of my promise at least twice a week," Riva said. "I tried to come to a deal with him. I tried almost everything possible to make sure it didn't happen, but nothing helped. The llama came to my wedding."
Mendel made sure to sew the tuxedo and cap especially for the guest.
In the photo of the brother and sister, photographed standing next to the animal, Mendel looks at his sister with a smile as he strokes the llama with his left hand. Riva, on the other hand, looks at him furiously. The llama is the only one in the picture that looks straight at the camera. The image gained over 156,000 views on the Reddit website, and 3600 and more comments.
