Spurred on by residents, mayors want more police power

The promulgation of a law relating to "engagement in local life and proximity" on December 27 could finally strengthen the power of mayors.

Faced with these pressing demands, elected officials are demanding more resources. They do not understand that their agents do not yet have the possibility of carrying out simple identity checks.
