Several countries continued to register new cases and deaths from the new Corona virus "Covid 19", while health controls and tighter travel restrictions continued around the world.

According to Yonhap News, South Korea recorded 483 new cases of the Corona virus, bringing the total number of cases to 6,767.

The Philippines, in turn, announced today, according to Reuters, the first two cases of local transmission of the Corona virus were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to six, while the Minister of Health called on Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to declare a state of emergency to confront the virus and limit its spread.

In the United States, the number of deaths due to infection with the virus increased to 15 after the death of a person in Washington State yesterday.

In Afghanistan, the number of infections in Corona rose to four after the Afghan Ministry of Health announced today, in a statement carried by Reuters, that three new cases were registered in the western province of Herat.

In Algeria, two confirmed cases were registered today, bringing the total number of injuries to 19.

Facebook announced the closure of its offices in the British capital, London, after a visitor from Singapore was diagnosed with the virus.
