After the brutal murder of two women in Göttingen, the alleged perpetrator Frank N. is now on trial. The start of the process is certain.

Göttingen - Exactly six months after the violent death of two women in the Grone district of Göttingen, the alleged perpetrator now has to answer to the Göttingen district court.
The court has now approved the indictment of the suspect Frank N. from Göttingen, announced on Tuesday (March 10, 2020) a judicial spokesman. The process should begin on Wednesday, March 25th. The jury has scheduled trial dates until July.

The public prosecutor's office in Göttingen accuses Frank N. of having been convicted twice before of two murders and twice the risk of assault. The 52-year-old is said to have sprayed his 44-year-old former partner with a flammable liquid on the open road in Göttingen on September 26, 2019 and then set her on fire.

- HNA Göttingen (@HNA_Goettingen) March 10, 2020When the 44-year-old escaped, he ran after her and stabbed her with a knife. He had hit the heart several times. Then he snatched a fire extinguisher from a helper and threw it on the head of his ex-girlfriend. The 44-year-old died at the scene.
Göttingen: Double murder - woman's colleague rushed to help
When a 57-year-old colleague wanted to come to the aid of the woman, he had intentionally stabbed her in the upper body several times and injured her so severely that she died the following day at the University Hospital in Göttingen. The 52-year-old is also said to have stabbed two other hurried helpers in the upper arm and hand to prevent them from intervening.
After the fact, Frank N. escaped on a bicycle and then played a cat-and-mouse game with the investigators for almost a day and a half. On the evening of the following day, police forces finally arrested him after a testimony in front of a snack bar in downtown Göttingen. Since then, he has been in custody in the Rosdorf correctional facility.
