Qatar World Cup qualifiers suspended in South America

(CNN Spanish) - FIFA responded to the request made by the South American Football Confederation to suspend the first two dates of the World Cup Qualifier in Qatar 2022.

Conmebol had made the request on Wednesday, March 11, due to the pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19, which has already started to impact the region. The highest body of football responded to the request a day later.
