US news network FOX announced on Friday that US President Donald Trump has declared a national emergency in the United States.
The declaration will allow the president to mobilize the Federal Disaster Management Agency as well as allow the governors of the various states to make extensive use of National Guard forces to prevent the spread of the virus.
The declaration will also allow states to receive special funding and assistance from the federal government on issues related to the prevention and treatment of the virus cases, which has so far been avoided in some states.
In the House of Representatives, lawmakers from both factions are currently working on approving a federal aid package for the US economy. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today she would work to approve the package with or without the President's support.
President Trump has been criticized in the past for his indifferent treatment of the Corona outbreak in the state and for his neglect to address the shortage of test kits in the United States. The President tweeted several times messages that reduce the importance of the outbreak.
Meanwhile, the number of viruses in the United States has risen to 1,887, while the number of dead from the virus remains at 41. Today, the last Americans were evacuated from the deck of the Grand Princess amusement ship, aboard dozens of cases of Corona infection.
