Franz Fuchs, owner of the Schwaigwall estate in Geretsried, is one of the most affected by the planned S7 expansion. He comments in an interview with our newspaper.

Geretsried - At a meeting of residents of the S-Bahn in the Gasthaus zum Löwenbräu in Wolfratshausen, the farmer complained that the city of Geretsried had not spoken to him about the subject. District administrator Josef Niedermaier and the former mayor Cornelia Irmer, on the other hand, said at the recent district committee meeting that there were "dozens of appointments" with Mr. Fuchs.

Mr. Fuchs, have there been discussions or not?

There was definitely not a single appointment with even one of the two: Mr. District Administrator Niedermaier was probably misunderstood. I do not know from Ms. Irmer how often and with whom she spoke about the use of our properties, at least not with me. I also know of no serious approach to the affected citizens and farmers, not even from Mayor Müller.

Did the railway or the Weilheim State Building Authority contact you as the authority responsible for relocating the B11?

No.

How many hectares of your property would be affected, firstly by the S-Bahn, secondly by the B11 relocation?

According to the current land purchase plan of the railway, 98 240 square meters would be removed from our company. This includes future compensation areas as well as a small part of construction areas that might be returned later, but in agricultural devalued form. There would also be space for extensive infrastructure measures such as parking lots and access roads, which the city would have to take care of, not the train. For the B11 relocation, there are neither figures nor plan sketches for the public and for me so far. However, I expect that a federal road with intersections and roundabouts will take up more space than a single-track railway line.

How are these areas currently used?

It is primarily high-quality arable land for food production and a small part of the forest that we manage ourselves. Statistically, wheat flour for more than 1.28 million rolls is produced annually on 100,000 square meters of arable land of this quality.

Would you be willing to relinquish a reason, possibly to a lesser extent?

No one will ignore planning for the optimal transportation of people and not for the preparation of maximum land use that takes account of the needs of the citizens concerned, agriculture and nature conservation. At the moment we are unfortunately as far as possible from this, so that the solidaristic rejection of almost all the landowners known to me remains.

Have you already submitted your written objections in the ongoing proceedings?

Yes.

Irmer stands by her statement

Former Mayor Cornelia Irmer, like District Administrator Josef Niedermaier, maintains that they sat down with Franz Fuchs. Even before she was elected, she mentioned the subject of the S-Bahn to Mr. Fuchs for the first time, says Irmer. At the time, the family said that all questions about this would be dealt with through their law firm. Irmer points out that the railways and not the city is responsible for property negotiations. That is why they - "and I am convinced, later Mayor Michael Müller" - saw themselves only in a mediating role. Conversation minutes are therefore not considered necessary.
