Sports at TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld are suspended. As club leader Rüdiger Meyer announced yesterday, the TSV Presidium has decided to take this step.

"This decision was made out of consideration for the health of our trainers, instructors and members as well as course participants," said Meyer. The Bureau regretted the need for this step, but saw it "in the current situation as a necessary contribution to curbing the spread of the corona virus".

Sports will probably be closed until April 19. All courses offered by TSV Eintracht are also suspended.

President Meyer and the other women and men in the club management recently sat together daily and advised: How should TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld react to the Corona crisis? What measures should be taken? The club management regularly contacted the authorities, offices and associations and obtained information on which measures to prevent or control the virus infection are ordered or recommended.

Due to an infected player in the team, the soccer game against Hallbergmoos scheduled for Saturday has already been canceled. Meyer felt left alone by the authorities and the football association in the run-up to the decision (we reported yesterday).

The Bavaria Cup, the big international tournament for youth soccer players, will not take place this year either. An association from Italy had already canceled its participation. The management of an association from Alsace - also a risk area - had already received mail from TSV Eintracht with the request to refrain from participating.

But now the tournament is not taking place. It would have been the 22nd edition of the major event this year. Thomas Leichsenring
