The Department of Health urged international students and other Hong Kong people in Europe and the United States on Friday (13) to start their journey as soon as possible if they plan to return to Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific (0293) announced that it will resume three flights between Hong Kong and London Heathrow Airport from March 17th to 19th to pick up more Hong Kong people back to Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific said it has resumed three flights between London Heathrow Airport and Hong Kong from March 17 to 19, that is, one additional round-trip flight every day. It is now possible to book additional seats for CX255 flights departing from Hong Kong and CX250 flights departing from London via the Cathay Pacific website or the Global Union Centre.
The number of confirmed diagnoses in the United States continues to rise, and Washington has declared a national emergency. Cathay Pacific said that it is also increasing the capacity of flights back to Hong Kong from different destinations in the United States. By adding additional flights or arranging passenger aircraft with more seats, Hong Kong students and citizens can return to Hong Kong as soon as possible. Details will be announced tomorrow (15th).
