Dachau - On Sunday, March 15th, 2020, the district of Dachau will re-elect its political representatives. Two weeks later, on March 29, there will probably also be run-off elections. Seven candidates will run for the office of district administrator in the Bavaria 2020 local elections. It is quite possible that none of the district council candidates will receive the required majority of more than 50 percent of the votes in the first ballot. The two candidates with the best result then go to the runoff.

The incumbent district administrator is 46-year-old Stefan Löwl from the CSU . In 2014 he was elected for the first time in a short run-off and will stand for re-election in 2020. His challengers are Hubert Böck (54, SPD), Achim Liebl (60, Greens), Damar Wagner (49, Free Voters), Sebastian Leiß (30, Free Voters), Jonathan Westermeier (27, Die Linke) and Hauke ​​Stöwsand (44 , ÖDP).
