Hohenlinden - Clear conditions in the election as First Mayor in Hohenlinden. Incumbent Ludwig Maurer remains the head of administration for another six years. With a very clear lead he had prevailed against his challenger Martin Huber from the commoners. In the run-up to this duel, there were unusually violent clashes, which were largely carried out via media such as newspaper advertisements and leaflets (we reported).

Local council election: SPD returns to local council

But what does the new municipal council look like? In the plenum, you will experience two new factions with the returned SPD (represented by the local chairwoman Judith Ortenburger) and the Greens, which were founded only a few months ago. The latter secured three mandates and are therefore stronger than the commoners. As expected, they in turn opted for a polarizing election campaign as far as the municipal council election was concerned. Martin Huber achieved the best result, followed by Josef Neumeier.

Hohenlinden: ÜWH is the strongest faction

The strongest faction is again the ÜWH. If you add the re-elected mayor, she will have seven mandates in the future. The independents accounted for 35.31 percent of the vote. A strong result.

The CSU collected 28.18 percent. Theo Falterer turned out to be a real draw, who is still in the town council for the commoner. A few weeks ago, however, Falterer had indicated that he wanted to change political camps. The Greens booked 17.5 percent straight away, the common people reached 15.43 percent. The distribution of seats at a glance: ÜWH 6, CSU 5, Grüne 3, Bürgerliche 2 and SPD 1.
