The guidelines for the elderly population to stay in the homes returned the licorice licorice for the period of immigration to Israel after the Holocaust • "We will return to normal"

I am 85 and live in Tel Aviv. I was born in Galicia, now Ukraine. During the Holocaust, I was sent to a labor camp with my family. The family managed to escape to their area of residence, and they found various hiding places, among others in the woods and with a family of gentiles. For two years we lived underground, nine people under a piggy bank.

In 1950 I immigrated to Israel. We first lived in the aisle in Kfar Saba, where mother and father were climbing and were hospitalized. I remember it as a very difficult time because I was far from them. I thought it would be a day or two, and basically it was a couple of weeks. It was a big crisis after the Holocaust. I stayed in the tent and cried.

Now I am forced to be home alone and it is very difficult for me. Hard is not a word. The distance makes me cry. When I am alone, I remember loneliness, Mom and Dad and my husband Shlomo who passed away four and a half months ago.

I'm used to being an active person, going outside, lecturing to students, painting, going to the L.A. and regular neighborhoods every day to meet friends - and now I have to stay home alone. Every morning I do exercises on the carpet at home, water the pots, take care of the apartment, and then sit down to write or draw my memories. I have a son who cares for me, he comes to me, does my shopping. The other kids call too, but it's hard not to meet.

I am naturally optimistic. Everything is dwarfed by what we have been through. While we are confined to the home, we have the freedom to be in the Land of Israel. We survived the Holocaust. In the end we won. We will also beat the Corona and pass it. We strengthen and strengthen the environment. Everything will end, find a cure and we will return to our daily routine. We have overcome everything, you too will overcome - we owe it to our future generations.
