The left paves the way for a fourth election

We need a national unity government, but that does not mean permitting some of it to strive against the other.

Thus, following the "stinking exercise" of Shimon Peres, the unity government that existed in 1990 fell, and so the unity government of 2020 will not be established. The new bills designed to disqualify Benjamin Netanyahu from serving as prime minister even in a single government are striving to form such a government. One party in the government wants to determine who represented the other party and calls it "unity". First, he chooses himself for unity, and then selects his partner from the other side as well. Not only that; As part of the fight against the right-wing bloc, the Knesset chairman is also trying to oust. This is simply the unity of the left against the unity government with the right.

Quite frankly, the left does not have a majority to choose without first choosing its partners to form a government, headed by the joint list. After all, without her support - MK Gantz is not a government. The general explanation was that the balance between the right-wing bloc and the left-wing bloc constitutes a Lieberman faction. Thus, the joint list has become a faction that can provide Gantz with the 61st mandate, that is to say, it is itself in balance. Gantz does not have a large bloc in front of the right bloc. The left, with Lieberman, has 47 seats. The left has about 55 seats, including the joint list and making Lieberman the so-called scales.

Gantz promised before the election that he would not rely on her. Certainly there are voters who supported him based on this promise. These voters, like the promise, were thrown into the wind. The representatives of Gantz just did not want their joint meeting with the representatives represented. Maybe they were ashamed, and the disqualified photo came from the common camera. Now came Gantz's promise to be a patriotic government. Whose patriotic? After all, in every crucial political or security question, the Gantz government will depend and even be squeezed by its scales. While tongue-in-cheek supported Gantz as the prime minister, that does not mean that she will support him as prime minister, usually and in all matters, just because she supported him as a candidate.

It is the left's answer that will support his government's faction or defectors from the right. Contrary to the joint list, which emerged as its own bloc along with the supporters of terrorism, the right-wing bloc is disqualified for negotiations and expects it to fall apart. It was after no election campaign in 2019 and did not seem feasible in 2020. Politics of attempting to undermine the right-wing unity will almost certainly not lead to unity but new elections. This is what Yair Lapid calls "there is a future."

Of course, the left has a repeated allegation against the charges against Netanyahu. They know that he is presumed innocent and that the law allows him, despite the indictments, to continue as prime minister. If they did not know this, they would not attempt to change the law and expressly prohibit it by personal law. Supporters of such a personal law also support what they call the rule of law. They are a little confused, apparently. In essence, they are ready to negotiate with the joint list on the terms of its support for the left government.

We know what they are buying here - support. It is not yet known what they are selling or about to sell in return. Such a deal could be called political bribery. He is perhaps more serious than a personal bribe, because he refers not to a person but to a state. At least there is an invalid conflict of interest here. On the one hand, it is in the interest of every government to protect the country from terrorism, and on the interest of the government's components to win the support of a list supported by terrorists. Of course it's not criminal. It's just a politics of the left. To the left, the rule of law is the left's rule of law, and the left-wing minority bloc rule in the Knesset is smaller than the right-wing bloc. This is called democracy on the left. The correct nickname is leftist democracy.
