Throughout history we have survived difficult, sometimes very difficult tests. We study challenges. But the Corona virus is a new kind of enemy. Rarely does he put Israel at the forefront, along with all the nations of the world.

"With all the problems and all the troubles - Israel is alive and well," said Prime Minister Menachem Begin. He was referring to threats to the community and to the Jewish state surrounded by enemies. He didn't think of Corona then. Indeed, "the people of Israel live and live" because it has a responsible state that looks after its security during wartime, and a health system and emergency services that look after its health during routine. Israel was prepared to deal with the challenging virus, but this time the victory depends on each one of us.

We will show responsibility, follow the instructions, maintain high morale, take care of the children, and grandparents too - from afar. And in the end we will win, because we have no other choice.

And although the new enemy forces us to stay in houses, disconnected, we are always together. Look at our flag. It is common to all of us, it captures us and keeps us together, all citizens of the state, Jews, Arabs, Christians, Druze. Everyone.

Independence Day is still a long way off, but it's time to get the flags out of the cabinets, ventilate them and hang them on the windows, on the balconies, on the roofs. Wave the flag and fill the country with our solidarity, unity and nationalism. And if you haven't had the time to buy, take the banner we printed on the center page of the paper and paste it on the window, door or wall. Just as the Corona virus does not differentiate between the citizens it threatens, so does our flag that does not differentiate between the citizens it guardes. Put the flag in front of our eyes, so we will remember every moment we are together, always.
