We are unable to find a path that leads us to certainty, because although people in the Government are heard firm, there is no coherence

It is lived twice, in parallel realities, in the Hollywood style, with Syd Field's formula: awkwardness as a central conflict and every now and then a plot twist that keeps us glued to television and networks. From home we are spectators of our own reality. We live it without living it.

We are unable to find a path that will lead us to certainty, because although people in the government are heard firm, there is no coherence. We are not consistent either, at times we are good, at others, bad. Meme and political thought coexist, transmigrate, get confused, laugh and worry. All at the same time until it's lunchtime and we start again: The borders are closed! They haven't closed the borders until tomorrow! Applause for the people who support public health! A businessman has died, ten, twenty, a thousand have become ill! This is chaos! But there is no chaos because the house is actually calm, relatively clean, there is food in the refrigerator and so far there are no sick people in the family.

The news reports tell us that the streets are empty, but most of the time the camera says something else, just a couple of nights ago, we counted twenty-six scattered but little worried people behind the reporter who gave the note of an empty Spain. They put us images of drones in Madrid Río asking people to confine themselves to their houses although in the neighborhood we still hear the noise from the streets. As if there were many Madrid, all different, living different realities. The same thing happens with Mexico, which comes to us from another dimension but in the same way it seems incredible and giving that feeling that we do not live in the same world: massive concerts are held, there is no applause for the doctors and people make hoaxes dead who have not died, or mothers who have to be reassured by slapping .

The “great change of the western world” they tell us in an improvised way and on delayed escalations. A clickbait here, another there. The information is always incomplete, almost on purpose, so we are frustrated. In Spain because our confinement does not seem to give results, in Mexico because our non-confinement does not give comfort.

Thus we do not imagine that it would be the end of the end of the end of our expectations of the world. We no longer need wars, bombs, or weapons; the future seems boring, we create our own psychoses and that's why we go out on the balconies to sing, applaud, tweet and instagramme: the present is everything. We have turned in the here and now, in the fav and the retuit until we reach other countries that, in turn, collide with our reality but of course we ignore them. We are the center of the world. We forget the refugee crisis in Moira, Greece, the conflicts in Syria, the constant poverty in Africa, the impoverished people in Latin America and other disasters that generate more deaths and despair. Hollywood is proud, it has educated us in image and likeness and it is for this, precisely for this, that we will emerge victorious from this mirage. At least that's what we tell ourselves after our daily dose of social networks.

If locked up at home every day, cooperating with state instructions, is our ammunition to fight COVID-19, then this war is won. It is a matter of patience. That we have plenty, even if it seems that we are lacking and that is why we run to the supermarkets to buy what we do not need, but we think we might need. Fuck those who do not have the economic capacity or the time to be like us! Fuck the lady I recorded without authorization to show that I celebrated her birthday or bought her the super, I'm the protagonist! Fuck men and women who can't stop, my suffering comes first! Fuck the representatives of the Mexican Government, we want to be like Europe, experience chaos in the first person! We are all crazy, very crazy to be part of the party.

We live twice, we will continue in parallel realities: Europe on the one hand and the world on the other. We will pretend that we will continue to be connected even if we do everything possible to be more disconnected than ever. We are closing borders. But we are not going to talk about this movie yet. For now, if at all, in these invented moments of leisure, -existent, because in reality there is more work accumulated than ever-, we will write the new script, a kind of Leviathan reloaded where the Welfare State returns for a Europe that with this Confinement is becoming a detox, while other countries, criticized for not being able to respond in the same way, will be condemned to be extra characters in this film that for now seems like a panorama of madness.
