(CNN Spanish) - The President of Peru, Martín Vizcarra, decreed a curfew this Wednesday from 8 at night until 5 in the morning; that is, that no one is authorized to leave their home.
The president assured that these measures are taken because there are some Peruvians who have not complied with the quarantine. "This obliges us to take measures, one is that we are decreeing mandatory social immobilization from eight at night until five in the morning, it is an emergency decree that establishes this measure, from today nobody can circulate until tomorrow ”, indicated Vizcarra.
On Monday, the president had decreed a state of emergency for all Peruvians to be quarantined from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., but there was authorization to leave the house only to go to the pharmacy or the supermarket.
