Corona Shadow Wedding • Ronnie and Jonathan did not want to postpone their wedding and have a canopy with relatives broadcast to guests on the Zoom app • "We will celebrate when things calm down"

Broadcasting Wedding: One of the most exciting moments in the life of any fresh couple is undoubtedly the moment of marching to the canopy and exchanging vows against each other, a moment before coming into the marriage covenant. But what happens when an unvaccinated global virus causes the wedding to be canceled on short notice? The Ein Hamed Forest Event Garden had a creative solution to the problem.

This evening (Wednesday) a rather unique wedding took place in the event garden, when for the first time in Israel a couple married and broadcast the wedding canopy to all the guests, who remained at home following the situation. The wedding aired through the Zoom video app to extended family and friends.

The idea for the wedding broadcast was initiated at Ein Hemed Event Garden, to allow the couple to share their joy with all their relatives who could not come. It was conducted by Rabbi Chuck Davidson of the Canopies, which provides religious services outside the Chief Rabbinate.

"We were supposed to get married last Thursday, and as things progressed momentarily, we realized it wasn't going to happen the way we had planned," said the bride Ronnie. "Yesterday we decided we didn't postpone the wedding, and we made the decision to marry only our immediate family. We will celebrate in health when things calm down, ”the excited bride added.

Event owner Ithamar Yekutieli said of the innovative initiative: "The event park is deserted, weddings canceled, and we are here only to try to sweeten the moment for couples who want to get married and whose happy evening they have been planning for months has been ruined. We can help with the situation. I am very happy that, after all, Ronnie and Jonathan celebrated with joy, and that we were able to sweeten even the slightest sorrow we are all currently experiencing. "

Rabbi Chuck Davidson, who married the couple, recounted the extraordinary experience: "It's one of the special and exciting canopies I've ever had. We are on complex days that require all of us flexibility and I acknowledge the privilege granted to edit the canopy today. You have to keep rejoicing and getting married. "
