The Spanish Ministry of Health revealed Thursday that 209 people died in the past day as a result of the country's raging corona epidemic and 3,477 people were infected with the virus.

The number of patients in the state now stands at 17,147 people. The increase in the last day has increased the number of patients by more than 25%, despite the severe closure of the country's authorities and the almost complete recovery of the Spanish economy.

Anomalous protest erupted in the country following the speech of the King of Spain Felipe, calling on the king to donate the funds he received from Western Saudi Arabia, according to the country's media outlets, to the collapsing health system.

During the King's speech, thousands of residents of Madrid stood on the balconies of the houses and began to beat baskets and pans, in order to silence the King's voice. Then, a wave of applause opened to the medical staff battling the disease. The protest also took place in neighborhoods traditionally affiliated with conservatives and royal supporters, a sign of the country's diminishing popularity.

The Socialist Movement, Mas Pais, issued a tweet calling for protest, stating that "our applause is to be taught by our teachers. The pans are for those who hold corruption money and do not transfer them to the health system."

Speaking of the need for unity, the King of Spain said: "Now we must put aside our differences of opinion. We must unite around the common denominator which is our grave situation. We must do so with peace of mind and confidence, but with determination and energy."
