A 9-year-old boy killed his 6-year-old sister with a rifle, presumably accidental, Thursday in the Côtes-d'Armor, we learned on Friday from the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor's office. The "accident scenario" is "privileged for the moment , " said prosecutor Bertrand Leclerc.
The drama took place on Thursday around 4.30 p.m. in Loscouët-sur-Meu. The autopsy carried out on Friday confirmed that a small caliber lead fired by an air rifle had "reached the little girl in the chest, crossing the heart and a lung and causing a massive hemothorax (internal hemorrhage, editor's note) 'cause of a very rapid death' .

According to a press release from the public prosecutor, the young brother "handled the rifle belonging to his father without his presence" . The boy was heard in the pediatric reception unit of the Saint-Brieuc hospital center. He was cared for by a clinical psychologist.
