It could not have been due to the traffic volume: there was an accident on the A8 near Weyarn. A truck missed a car.
Weyarn - As reported by the Autobahn police station on request, the accident occurred on Friday, March 20 at 6:45 p.m. on the A8 in the direction of travel between Munich and the Weyarn junction and the Mangfall bridge. A truck almost “shot” a car. The car then skid and crashed into the guardrail. The cause is still unclear, and the police were unable to provide information on the personal details of the persons involved in the accident or the amount of damage on Friday evening. The driver was brought to the hospital to clarify possible injuries.
Due to the initial restrictions caused by the corona virus, however, there was little traffic on the motorway, so the accident did not lead to any major traffic jams.
