A curfew will be imposed from Saturday evening in Nice to enforce containment measures intended to stop the spread of the new coronavirus, said the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes on Friday.

"I confirm that a curfew measure will be taken and that a municipal decree has been prepared by (the mayor of Nice) Christian Estrosi who should allow us tomorrow a measure which seems to be imposed more and more , that is to say the respect of the prohibitions which have been made and thus, from 11 pm to 5 am, those who can circulate can circulate " , said Bernard Gonzalez on BFM TV, according to which this decree " aims essentially those who find it fun to come together and challenge the authorities ” .
