One thing is certain for Helmut Schranner: "We will play Brandner Kaspar." Because of the corona crisis, the theater classic is not celebrating its premiere on April 2, but only in June.

Nandlstadt - Until recently, Helmut Schranner had hoped to bring the theater classic "The Brandner Kaspar and eternal life" to the stage as planned from April 2. However, the developments surrounding the corona virus are forcing those responsible to postpone the 14 events with a “heavy heart”. The performances are to take place in the Hopfenhalle from June 26 to July 18 - according to the theater version by Kurt Wilhelm. “If this virus annoys us further,” says Schranner, the play would take place from September 2nd to 26th. And if even that didn't work, "then it will be done next year". But the initiator is confident that it will work out in June.

Compulsory break for the performers

Up until two weeks ago, the actors around director Steffi Baier rehearsed four times a week - most of them in the old gym in Nandlstadt, most recently on stage in the hop hall. But for two weeks now, the samples have been put on hold. After a long back and forth, those responsible for the fundraising event, which is organized by the association "We help heal", initiated by the music school Papageno and the Holledau musicians and supported by the kitchen studio Münsterer (marketing, administration and sponsor acquisition), decided to do the performances relocate. The actors were informed on March 16. The team's goal is now: The premiere is on Friday, June 26th.

Kudos and thanks to the community

Thanks to Helmut Schranner and his colleagues from the municipality of Nandlstadt, who immediately agreed to support, a new appointment is possible in such a timely manner. It was important to Schranner not to get in the way of other theater companies - such as the amateur actors Freising and Nandlstadt or the group "Zamgspuit" around Pastor Stephan Rauscher. But he had already spoken to everyone. The only problem: On one of the performance dates, July 18, the summer night ball should have taken place in the hop hall in Nandlstadt. This date must now be rescheduled, announced Helmut Schranner.

Tickets remain valid

For all theater fans who have already bought tickets, Wolfgang Leuschner from the association "We help heal" has positive news: "The tickets are all still valid - they will be transferred one to one." In the coming days, ticket buyers should be from the provider OK ticket will be written to via email and informed about the move. If you want to return or exchange your cards, you can of course do so - the purchase price will then be returned.

Positive feedback from the sponsors

Schranner and Leuschner are particularly pleased that the sponsors who are responsible for the large-scale project have had "only positive feedback". Even more: "Insurance coverage is also extended at no additional cost." Schranner is certain: "Many people are infected with Brandner Kaspar's small fever." ANDREA HERMANN
