(CNN Spanish) - Luis Almagro was reelected on Friday as Secretary General of the Organization of American States.

Almagro, who has been in office since 2015, will lead the OAS in a new period until 2025.

The secretary won reelection with 23 votes in an extraordinary session held in Washington.
