Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed in two telephone conversations today with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and European Union foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell that unjust US sanctions against Iran hinder Tehran's efforts to combat the Corona virus.
During the two calls, Zarif stressed the need to cancel the US inhuman and unilateral embargo against the Iranian people.
In turn, Guterres and Borrell stressed the need to lift the US embargo on Tehran, and declared their solidarity with the Iranian people in the face of the outbreak of the virus.
