Angela Merkel, in contact with a doctor who tested positive for the new coronavirus on Friday, has "decided to go into quarantine immediately" at home, the spokesman for the German government announced on Sunday.
The chancellor "will be tested in the coming days" to find out if she is infected, said in a statement Steffen Seibert, adding that she "would continue her official activities in quarantine at home" in Berlin.
