2020-03-22T17:30:20.750Z

These RATP shuttles, which will start operating this Monday morning, will serve the main hospitals by adapting to the caregivers' schedules.

They had been working there for several days. Ile-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), the organizing authority for transport in Ile-de-France and the RATP will, from this Monday morning, make available to hospital staff, twenty bus lines reserved for Paris and Petite Parisian crown.

A measure intended to facilitate the movement of hospital staff, "these everyday heroes" on the front line in the war against the coronavirus, taken in close collaboration with the AP-HP (Assistance publique Hôpitaux de Paris) which manages a large part of Greater Paris hospitals.

A bus every 30 minutes

Concretely, 20 bus shuttles will leave this morning from Parisian stations or other nerve centers for transport in the inner suburbs to directly serve one or more hospitals. Reserved exclusively for hospital staff, they will circulate at the times corresponding to the service start and end of service of the agents: 6 am - 8:30 am or 9 am; 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. On each time slot, the buses will operate with an interval of one bus passing every 30 minutes on each line.

The shuttle from the Gare de Lyon, for example, will serve the Rothschild, Armand-Trousseau and Saint-Antoine hospitals before returning to the Gare de Lyon. Those leaving from Austerlitz will pass by the Collegiate Church, Cochin, Broca and the CHU de la Pitié Salpêtrière.

"An exceptional mobilization at the service of the nation"

"The precautionary measures for travelers and drivers implemented on board these shuttles are the same as those dedicated to regular lines", specifies the RATP. Anti-aggression window lifted, wicket door open in night position, front doors closed and fitted and exited by the rear doors, tapes prohibiting the use of the seats located behind the driver's cab, make it possible to limit any contact with drivers. Drivers who, with all of the RATP agents, have shown "exceptional mobilization in the service of the Nation during this period", wishes to emphasize the RATP's president and director, Catherine Guillouard.

Specially created timetables

Timesheets allow the carers of the hospitals concerned by the shuttles to have the passage times. RATP

"This measure, worked with APHP and RATP, responds to a principle that Île-de-France Mobilités has put in place from the start of the crisis: to ensure in particular that the region's healthcare establishments are well served to allow it is up to healthcare staff to get around, ”explains Valérie Pécresse, president of Ile-de-France Mobilités.

In addition to this system in Paris and the inner suburbs, "a hundred regular bus lines as well as 6 demand transport lines serve health establishments in the outer suburbs", Ile-de-France Mobilités reminds us.

In order to inform the nursing staff of this new offer, time sheets have been specially created, line by line, and are sent to the AP-HP for internal communication. All the timetables for the lines are available on the website www.ratp.fr.
