Minister of Health Dr. Nizar Yazigi announced the registration of the first infection with the Corona virus in Syria for a person coming from outside the country, stressing that the necessary measures have been taken to deal with it.
Yazji said in connection with the Syrian channel tonight: "The Ministry of Health laboratories have informed us of the emergence of a case of coronavirus infection, which is the first to be registered in Syria, and necessary measures have been taken in this matter."
Yazji explained that the injured person came from outside Syria and he is about 20 years old, pointing out that when he entered Syria he did not show any symptoms of the disease and indicated that his case was followed up by the chronic and communicable diseases team as he was coming from a place with injuries and after taking the necessary sample he had the infection.
Yazji called on citizens to take precautions, prevent and stay at home, and abide by the measures announced in the framework of tackling the Coronavirus.
