[05:00] Chief Executive Lin Zheng Yue'e announced yesterday that starting from tomorrow morning (25th), non-Hong Kong residents will not be allowed to enter or transit through Hong Kong Airport. Hong Kong International Airport will stop all connecting services; except for pre-registered Macau residents.

At the same time, restrictions on the return of Hong Kong people to Hong Kong have been strengthened. Residents returning to Hong Kong from Taiwan and Macau will no longer be exempted from quarantine, and will also need to undergo compulsory quarantine on the 14th. Non-Hong Kong residents who come to Hong Kong from Taiwan and Macau can still enter the country, but they will be on the same level as those from the Mainland. They will also need to undergo compulsory quarantine on the 14th. Rejected.

In order to further prevent imported cases and cut off the transmission chain of the virus globally and in Hong Kong as far as possible, the following measures will be implemented from 00:00 on the 25th for a temporary period of 14 days:

• All non-Hong Kong residents arriving by air from overseas countries or regions will not be allowed to enter Hong Kong;

• Non-Hong Kong residents who have entered Hong Kong from the Mainland, Macau and Taiwan, and have not been allowed to enter any overseas country or region in the past 14 days;

Taking into account the actual situation, a small number of people will be exempted from the above entry restrictions and / or quarantine requirements, including:

• Macao residents who have registered with the Macau SAR Government and will return to Macau by land via Hong Kong by plane. According to the discussions between the Macau and Hong Kong SAR governments, registered Macao residents will return to Macau in a special car arranged by the Macau authorities upon arrival at the Hong Kong International Airport;

• Crew members working on flights to and from foreign countries or personnel working on cargo ships;

• Local government personnel performing official duties, including consular staff;

• the spouse or minor children of Hong Kong residents;
