Bercy creates a crisis committee to enforce payment deadlines

2020-03-23T18:48:51.139Z

Business and credit mediators will work with business federations.

Do not let payment times slip and avoid the snowball effect. This is the objective of the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, who announced yesterday, with the Governor of the Bank of France, François Villeroy de Galhau, the establishment of a crisis committee on the credit issue inter-company, whose situation is becoming considerably tense.

The complications faced with the Covid-19 pandemic are indeed significant enough, with companies idling, even stopping, for more than eight days. No need, therefore, to add difficulty to the difficulty, with unscrupulous companies which do not honor their invoices and seek to build up a mattress of cash on the back of their suppliers. However, leaders are already sounding the alarm. "At the end of last week, calls poured in and we had the equivalent of a month of referrals in a few days, that is to say more than a hundred files to be assembled," says Pierre Pelouzet, the mediator.
