US Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo failed to convince Afghan leaders on Monday to form a united government and announced plans to cut aid to Afghanistan by $ 1 billion.

" We are ready to cut an additional billion in 2021, " he said in a statement after an eight-hour visit to Kabul.
" The United States is disappointed with them and what their attitude means for Afghanistan and our shared interests ," he added.
