The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has confirmed that there is no truth to what some social media pages deliberate about postponing studies until September and keeping the student at home for five months.
A statement by the ministry, which Sana received a copy of, said that there was no decision issued by the ministry on postponing the studies until September, and that any new information related to students' time or exams will be announced through the official website of the ministry.
The Ministry called on the social media pages to be accurate and adopt the news from its real sources through the official media or the ministry's website and not to promote false news.
The Ministry had extended the suspension of public and private universities, higher institutes and technology from 2-4-2020 to 16-4-2020 within the framework of the precautionary measures taken to tackle the Corona virus.
