The international meeting focused on the involvement of civil society in promoting equality between women and men was to start in Mexico City in early May and then continue in July in Paris.

It was to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the “Beijing Platform for Action”, which emerged from the World Conference on Women held in China in 1995. The aim is to “take stock of the progress achieved” and “develop measures concrete steps to achieve equality between women and men before 2030 " , according to the United Nations agency.

During the dates initially planned for the meeting, UN Women will organize digital conferences on the subject.
