Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov considered that the pandemic of Corona in the world showed the inability of some international organizations to confront and not rise to the desired level, expecting the consequences of the pandemic to be severe and long-term.
Piskov said in statements to the First Russian Channel, as quoted by TASS news agency, that at the present time the work done by international organizations such as global health, global trade and the G20 cannot be described as "acceptable", which calls for an analysis of the consequences of the crisis and ways to develop international structures in the future in order to gain real effectiveness.
Peskov pointed out that each country behaves in the current circumstances unilaterally instead of making collective efforts, warning that the world may face "a severe economic crisis after or sooner or later."
Peskov explained that the situation in the global economy will be after the retreat of the Coronavirus, or the possibility of its severe disappearance, which requires the adoption of regular, medium and long-term support measures.
The Kremlin spokesman said that Russia has the necessary reserves to take such measures, stressing the importance of using these capabilities in a timely and most effective manner.
