A foreign memorandum released last night states that Israeli citizens will soon be able to start a company online without the need for a lawyer. Today, under current law, the identity of signatories to a company registration document should be verified by a lawyer.

Justice Minister Amir Ohana yesterday circulated the memo amending the Public Comments Companies Act. Once the bill has been approved by the Knesset and the regulations are in place, the mechanism will be available for immediate use and at no cost to all citizens on the government's "available government" site.

Justice Minister Amir Ohana said that "Registering a company digitally and without the obligation of a lawyer is important news for entrepreneurs, and the founders of companies in the economy, especially at the beginning. This is true in the days of fighting the virus. "
