The US State Department posted a short message on its Russian-language Facebook account for the 59th anniversary of the first manned space flight, but did not name Gagarin. On the Department's website, an article posted to mark this day also does not include the name of the cosmonaut. "Not to remember it is misinformation and a devious technique of the post-truth era" , immediately reacted the Russian Foreign Ministry, in a message posted on its Facebook account.
On April 12, 1961, Youri Gagarin became the first man to carry out a mission in orbit, symbolizing for a time the domination of the USSR in the conquest of space against the United States. Before American astronauts walk on the moon in 1969.
