The powerful Turkish interior minister resigned on Sunday after the abrupt announcement of confinement linked to the coronavirus epidemic that has caused crowds of panicked Turks to shop for supplies.
"May my nation, which I never wanted to harm, and our president, to whom I will be faithful all my life, forgive me. I am leaving the office of Minister of the Interior, which I had the honor of fulfilling, ” said Süleyman Soylu in a press release.
