Berlin (dpa) - For the Union, the upswing in surveys of the past few weeks in the "Insa opinion trend" has recently not continued. In the survey commissioned by the "Bild" newspaper, the CDU and CSU together lost half a percentage point compared to the previous week and stood at 37.5 percent.
Compared to the beginning of the year, this is still a high figure - against the background of the corona crisis, the Union had grown strongly in surveys by various institutes in the past few weeks on the Sunday question. The head of the Insa polling institute, Hermann Blinkert, said according to "Bild": "For the first time in eight weeks, the Union has been losing votes."
The Greens lose two points in the survey and come to 16 percent - they are on par with the SPD, which remains unchanged compared to the previous week. The FDP grew the most in the survey, for it rose 1.5 points to seven percent. The AfD wins half a point and comes to 10.5 percent, also for the left it goes up half a point to 7.5 percent. Both the ruling coalition of Union and SPD and a black-green alliance would have a majority.
